Progesterone and Poker

>Dicey calls – big players – they fell one by one
Before they saw it coming she was all done
Full house – small straight – the cards flew so fast
Knocked arrogant players right off their ass
Progesterone and Poker – the mix to blame
She played many hands – won all the games
With hormone levels shooting strong as an ox
She had no mercy and was sly like a fox
Bluffing – swearing – full of estrogen
As most hands folded she called “All In”
I sat back and watched this strategy
She took a deep breath then counted to three
Poked her ass straight full of progesterone
Then exhaled in relief with a little moan
I saw what she did – knew her secrets
She almost Op’ed during one of the bets
Panting – foaming – bouncing off walls
She had most poker players by the balls
And I stayed and laughed at all those suckers
They all beat me anyway – damn mother %*#%@^

Critique My Poetry

Critique my poetry in which I speak
Is that not who I am?
For a poet if posed as a proper pompous
Would indeed be so grand
Yet I am stricken with silly speech
and segregated as such
To mark my melodies in mangled madness
And make my message as much
So read my ramblings and rapid remarks
and receive them as remarkable reward
For in my individuality I invite inventors
And ingest imperial idiots inward

Celebrities of Spring

Ms. Clivia Miniata, blossoms well in conceit
Three years to get ready, loves crowded streets
Leave her undisturbed, she needs her space
It’s Spring Time – She stands with grace
Ms. Hyacinths – known for her perfume
Spaces – strong winds to smell in bloom
Mr. Bulbs often rushes, he never has time
He comes-he goes-three weeks in his prime
Mr. Blue Bells too early – misses everything
Unaware of it all, he blooms in early spring
Who can forget the Dutch’s Iris and Crocus
Standing in attention – snails their focus
In church nearby singing Lily of the Valley
Corm in great cheer – it sounds like a rally
Color and blossom – they all have their fun
Most happy in dew time with smiling Mr. Sun
Most ticklish when they see funny Mr. Hose
Makes loud noises – shoots water from his nose
And this same crowd comes back every year
With joy, color, love, and for us…great cheer

**This poem was written at a time someone had mentioned that I should practice writing light poems.
I gave it a thought and took their suggestion. This was a very fun poem to write.
